Martinson College offers quality accelerated adult and online programs that are relevant in today's increasing healthcare job market.  Martinson College is an allied health career training school specializing in Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) and other related courses. Due to more stringent industry infection control requirements, most hospitals, surgical centers and some biotech companies are now required to only hire sterile processing technicians who are certified.  This is driving the increase in demand for certified sterile processing or central services technicians.

What is Sterile Processing?

Hospital Acquired or Associated Infection is a serious problem to all healthcare providers. Twenty percent (20%) of all infections can be prevented by healthcare professionals complying with proper policies and procedures

​Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Program

​Did you know that a typical hospital will use more than 15,000 trays of instruments every month? Each tray may consist of about 50 pieces of instruments for one surgical procedure.

SPD Management/Supervisor Certification

The SPD Management course will prepare new and current management personnel to take the CBSPD Sterile Processing Management Certification exam. A manager is responsible for providing leadership.
